By now, the herring has moved further south on its spawning migration, but three months ago my friend and colleague Audun Rikardsen and me went out to document the spectacular feast together with the film crew of "Ut i Naturen" that can be seen tomorrow (26 Feb) here.
The first humpbacks we saw on the trip were feeding together in Skulsfjorden outside Tromsø in the last rays of the sun before the polar darkness period that begun the day after our trip (21 Nov 2012).
